problem with Ios 12.3(4)JA

Hi,

To solve some roaming problems with ap1210's with Ios 12.2(15)XR2 in our distribution center, Cisco has advised us to

upgrade to Ios 12.3(4)JA.

We have done that but after 5 days, we got complaints with associations to the ap's.

A reload solve the problem but after a few days the association-problem comes back.

I suspect the new ios-version but in the old version there was:

logging queue-limit 100 and in the new version there wasn't

In the new version there was:

logging snmp-trap emergencies

logging snmp-trap alerts

logging snmp-trap critical

logging snmp-trap errors

logging snmp-trap warnings

and in the old version there wasn't.

This could be the problem (memory overload or something like that ??).

Has anyone the same experience withe this Ios-version ??

Otherwise we are planning to downgrade.

Greets,

René

Rene,

Are you using a WDS?

If so is it an Aironet Device or WLSM?

Which IOS version if relevant is on the WDS?

Which type of authentication to the AP is taking place?

Regards

Miron

Miron,

Yes we're using a wds but not for fast secure authentication, just for gathering the radiotraffic and

to sent to our wlse where we've radiomonitoring enabled.

In the distribution center we got 13 ap1210's, from wich one of them is the wds-accesspoint.

All the 13 ap's have yet Ios 12.3(4)JA version.

Our authentication for the wireless-devices (which have the problem) is open with a WEP encription and ssid, on the 6509 we've an

access-list for securing.

Greetings,

René

We have also problems like this. We don't use WDS just WEP and MAC auth. We we traveling from one AP to a other the connection is lost. We have 8 AP 1210 and using WINDOWS CE clients.

How do you configure roaming?
