Problems with WLC and 7.2.111.3

Hi

I am having problems with my WISM2 witch 7.2.111.3 version.

When talking to my partner, they sad it was a known BUG

WLC crash : pmalloc memory corruption

Symptom:

Software was stopped for the following reason:
pmalloc detected memory corruption
------------------------------------------------------------
pmalloc memory corruption type: ++PMALLOC_ENTRYMAGIC_0_CORRUPTION

Conditions:
NA

Workaround:
rebooted back with backup code after which wlc stays up

To find out if your really hitting that bug or any bug, open up a TAC case.  That will be your best bet.

Do you've a core dump of this crash, if no then it is really hard to rootcause the issue.

Yes a have a core dump, witch a produced to TAC. And the printout above is the answer from TAC

#crash log is different from core dump. i think you've given crash log to tac and not core dump.

Management>> Techsupport>> controller crash>> "crash log"

#core dump of crash is not stored on WLC's flash, you need to setup an ext ftp server and configure the same on wlc.

Management>> Techsupport>> Core dump>> configure ftp server details. coredump is a bigger file that can't get stored on WLC's flash, it'll be stored to ext ftp server, the extension of file is .gz. if you've given this file then i hope cisco could rootcause the issue.
