In the configurations of an Access Point(1200 Series) I noticed that there is an option to search for a less congested radio channel. Right now we are using either channels one, six or eleven. What would determine whether I would assign channels or use the less congested option? Is there some criteria that would determine which way to go? Thanks...

When you select "yes" for the Search for less-congested radio channel pull-down menu, the access point scans for the radio channel that is least busy and selects that channel for use. The access point scans at power-up and when the radio settings are changed.
If you need to keep the access point assigned to a specific channel to keep from interfering with other access points, you should leave this setting at "no".

Hi ,
1 , 6 and 11 are non overlapping channel .
If you have 1 or 2 AP and you are in the environment where there is high
probability of other interference on same 2.4 Ghz unlicence band such
as Phone or microwave etc select this option .
