Regarding a command capwap

Hi I would like to ask a question regarding command "capwap ap ip address 10.0.1.111 255.255.255.0". what is difference between the command above and command ip address 10.0.1.111 255.255.255.0 under interface G? Thanks

Well one thing to understand is that with capwap, you never try or use any commands you would use in config mode. capwap ap command is to define an ip (if no dhcp) so that the ap can possibly discover a controller. The later command you have is typically used for autonomous or mobility express as an example.
