Regarding Upgrade IOS of Cisco WLC-9800

Hi,

Currently we are running ios 17.6.0 in Cisco WLC9800 and almost 50 APs are connected. There are mixtures of APs like Catalyst 9105, 9115 and AIR2820, AIR1830. We need to upgrade ios. Does 2820 and 1830 support 17.9.4 ios?

Is there any option 'pre-download image' like cisco wlc AIR 2504/3504 series or we can upgrade it directly?

Yes, support even up to 17.13.X.

Pre-Download is supported.  

Enter the IP address of the WLC into a browser and then go to  Administration > Software Management.  AP Image PreDownload is a tick box.
