Hi.
does clients like a laptop with windows/mac or a portable device with android/iphone etc also have the country restrictions in place ?
say a device wifi 5ghz band is restricted to specific country ?
any way we can get what regulatory domian my laptop supports ? suppose its windows ?
reson for this is that my laptosp dont see ssid on channel 36 but see on 149 . i need to know what channels are supported by my wifi card. is therey any way in windows mac where we can see a list of supported channesl and perhaps change it.

The AP has "the last say" which Regulatory Domain it operates on.
A wireless client will just wait for the beacon which will contain all the information (SSID, channels, etc.) it will need to join an AP.

That is irrelevant and counter productive , you let the client negotiate best channel in cooperation and or offered by the access point(s)
