Repeaters in a multi story building

Hi,

While a wired backbone might be a better solution, due to limitations I am looking at setting up 350's as repeaters with a maximum of 3 links. Does anyone have any experience in how well, if at all, a 350 will operate as a repeater through the floors of a hotel/office? Ideally the repeaters will be positioned directly under/over the next floors repeater. Thanks for any input.

All WLAN products are line of site products, They will not work between floors.

Hmm.. They might work between floors if they are thin enough. I'm in an office building and I get signals from other floors. However, one thing you should know is that everytime you add a repeater to your link you cut your throughput in half. So if you daisy chain more than one, you're not left with much.

What you should do is survey the place and see if there is enough signal leaking through the floors. If so then you will have no problem.

Take care to configure the route each repeater will take to reach the root AP.
