Setting up AP1200 only for G clients

How can I ensure that my AP1200 works at its highest possible performance by exclusively enabling G clients? The Cisco Documentation recommends to enable short slot time by using the 'slot-time-short' command (see link below). The problem is, the AP doesn't accept or recognizes the the command. This behavior can be seen with IOS 12.2(13)x and 12.2(15).

Is my assumption correct, and are there different methods to make the AP work only for G clients?

Hi Toni !

The most certain way to make it work only for 11g clients is to disable all 11b rates on the AP (e.g. 1,2,5.5 and 11 Mbps), or to set at least one 11g speed at required (6 Mbps) and 11b speeds to enable (no basic/required), yet the latter might not work with all software releases.
