Share one WLC/AP to two ISP line

Dear all,

@frist, happy new Year @Aliki.

My Question, is that possible to share 2 differnet IPS lines on one WLC?

Example:

WLC IP Magmt: 10.10.1.10, Port 1, VLAN 110 and Network 10.10.1.0/24 configured on Core SW and over FW to Internet Line1

WLC IP GuestLAN: 192.168.60.1, Port 6, VLAN 2, Network 192.168.60.0/24 configured on Fritzbox and to Interent oder second ISP Line.

Both ISP Line are completly different Vendor.

Is that possible?

It is possible. For guest you are going to create a dynamic interface and configure properly up address and gateway. Basically is the same idea when you configure different network among interfaces on your wlc.

To answer your question , YES it is definitely possible and very easy. There are multiple ways to achieve this.

Via the physical segregation:

1. Create a separate interface on the WLC for Guest VLAN.

2. Map this interface to a particular physical port of the WLC (say port 3) (If no LAG)

3. Connect this port to the uplink switch which is configured as an access port for the guest vlan.

4. This uplink switch should take the guest traffic wherever you wish to.

Via the logical segregation:

1. Create a separate interface on the WLC for Guest VLAN. This must be tagged.

2. Map this interface to the same physical port as the management interface (tagged). or mapped to the LAG (if there is).

3. On the uplink switch , you can decide where to take the traffic based on where have you connected the ISP link.

There are multiple other options , but these ones should be sufficient.

Dear Flavio and Manish,

you are both right! My solution was a "untagged" port configuration. Before it was not working but it was my fault because I typed a vlan ID on the field! With VLAN ID 0 the port is "untagged" and now every thing is working!
