Stopping unwanted users from network access

I got a job that wants to charge users who visit their business for Internet access. We are looking into putting Cicso 1200 series WAPs into a few rooms. We are concerned someone with a laptop will be able to boot their machine up and using DHCP get an IP address thus Internet access without paying. We want to ability to disallow network access until we receive a

fee before they can actually get onto the wireless network. Anyone have a suggestion? These clients are going to be across the board, from Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, 2000, XP, Mac, etc.

Thanks

jim

Jim,

Using LEAP/SSIDs or other configured security type features you can keep the passers by out of your network that are not specifically setup to be able to access your IP network. Here is a Q&A URL that asks a bunch of questions and has answers that might help you on your way.

Hope this helps you,

Don
