I have installed a 2106 WLC with software version 6.0.188.0.
I can happily see 1142n access points but I wanted to know if it supports 1010 access points?
I have tried looking for the documentation but I have been unsuccessful, hope you can help!
Kind regards,
Jamie

Hi
Not exactly.
The APs on Unified architecture are split on 2 main types: VxWorks based (10x0, 1510) and IOS based (12xx, 11x0, 1520, etc)
Both types are supported up to 4.2.x code. From 5.0 and upwards, WLC will only support IOS based APs.
So, 1010 Aps are supported only up to 4.2.
1140 was added later into code, so currently there is no code supporting simultaneusly 1140 and 1010.
On 4.2 and 6.0, there is a new feature called inter version controller mobility, to allow mobility groups on some conditions to co-exist between 4.2 and 6.0

If I'm not mistaken 1010 series is supported on the 4.X and early 5.X firmware. 6.X, unfortunately, doesn't. Go through the release notes and I hope I'm wrong.
