The operation status on each AP’s shows as down after reloading

Hi, We've 6 AP C9130AXE-C. All 6 APs are registering to the controller cisco Catalyst 9800-L WLC.

Everytime the AP’s reloaded, the admin status is enabled by default on WLC, however, the operation status on each AP’s shows as down. We must manually re-enabled the admin status (by disabled and enabled it) to set the operation status of the Aps is up.

What could be done to automatically set the operation status to up, without re-enabling the admin status on the WLC?

What firmware is the controller on?

Hi Leo, it's running with 17.3.4c

That's an old firmware.

The behaviour of the AP could be related to a bug.

Upgrade to say, 17.12.4, and see if the behaviour is present.

  - Checkout the 9800-L WLC configuration using the CLI command show  tech wireless and
feed the output from that into Wireless Config Analyzer
Use a recent controller software version , preferably : https://software.cisco.com/download/specialrelease/b5170408cc94b5cb4ffce878e044cf6e

@jexsoares It looks like your APs are registering with the Cisco Catalyst 9800-L WLC, but after a reload, their operational status remains down until you manually toggle the admin status. This could be due to a misconfiguration or a software bug.

@vishalbhandari how is that reply supposed to help the original poster?
You've re-stated the problem, not offered any solution, and Leo has already pointed out that it is likely due to a software bug.
They've already pointed out the config is correct and Marce has already advised to check the WLC config with Config Analyzer.

Then what? I am explaining to Jexsoares. I will not explain anything to you; mind your own work and don't judge anyone.
