Hi All,

I have an AP that has rebooted with reason "Reset Request from Controller". However, I didn't gave any reset from the WLC side.

Its a 2702 series AP associating to 9800 CL WLC.

Kindly advise what command can I use to fetch the log summary of this AP from WLC.

Thanks,

Abhishek.

Do you have Prime or any external syslog configured ? if not you have limited logs in WLC

Look at Management--> Logs

I do have Prime and the PI Database is updated but the logs in Prime just says " AP (IP Address) disassociated from the WLC" ,nothing else.

No Alarms too.

in that case - i go to switch and look for Logs what happend ?

Hi Balaji,

Well, the switch logs doesn't shows much info unfortunately except that the interface towards AP has flapped (UP/Down)..

You need to do a Radio Active Trace, you can use AP MAC address to filter the logs, and you can go back to certain number of days as long as logs are available in WLC.

Can SSH the AP and grab logs from the AP.

AP Join Page might give you some indication of the reset reason.

Is it just one 2700 AP or multiple APs?

What version code you running
