upgrade wlc 2504 7.2 to 8.2

greetings,

We are planning to upgrade our AP into 2800 series ( currently running 1140 series), as per i read on compatibility matrix cisco for 2800 are supported on 8.2.x OS and currently our wlc running an Old OS 7.2.103...should it be upgraded to 7.4/7.6 and then to 8.2 or could be upgrade directly? and would it be impacting to our existing license if i'm upgrading to 8.2? and should i need upgrade the FUS as well?

You can go direct to 8.2.X.X.

and once more...is it still possible to upgrade directly to 8.3.x from 7.2.x??

It is possible to upgrade direct from 7.2.X.X to 8.2.X.X. 

It is NOT possible to upgrade direct from 7.2.X.X to 8.3.X.X without going to 8.2.14X.X first.
