URL fail when access by Lobby-Admin

Hai Dao Tuan

Dear all

We have bought a new WLC2504, with default OS is 7.6. But after I created lobby-admin, I cannot access to page to generate guest-access.

I came back to check old WLC with old OS is 7.4, and the access is successful

When I do compare the url, with 7.4 the url is https://x.x.x.x/screens/lobbyadmin_frameset.html, but with OS 7.6 (I also tried to upgrade to OS 8.0) the url is https://10.70.0.200/screens/frameset_dashboard.html

Could you please advice us is this issue is a bug or wrong configuration and how we can still use WLC 7.6 or 8.0 with lobby-admin feature

Regards

Hai

Lobby admin broken on 8.0.100.0 on WLC 2500
CSCuq61753

Symptom:
Lobby admin login url broken on 8.0.100.0 on WlC 2500

Conditions:
WLC 2504 on 8.0.100.0, create a management user with "lobby admin" privileges. Login to WLC using http or https (Ex: https://10.1.2.3). Prompts for authentication and authentication succeeds after credential input but we get "The connection was reset" page irrespective of browser.

Workaround:
Issue happens only on 2504 and not on 5508.

Issue happens only using URL in this format https://10.1.2.3 or http://10.1.2.3

Use full URL,

for example https://10.1.2.3/screens/frameset.html , same lobby admin credentials will work fine.

Known Affected Releases:
(2)
8.0(100.0)
7.6(130.0)
