Hej community,
for quality assurance and troubleshooting purpose I´m searching for ideas and/or solutions how to verify the valid conenction (or at least some indications) of antenna and accesspoint. In large deployments we noticed that sometimes a lot of different companys work in the same areas at the same time. Imagine an accesspoint with external antenna mounted below a ceiling. A carpenter opens the ceiling and disconnects the antenna from accesspoint. Afterwards, the antennas plugs were partly disconnected/ wrong radio interface connected / etc.
Often these type of misconfigured installations exist undiscovered, till user complain about aborted connections / weak coverage etc. Even in case nobody complains and wireless is working, it´s not an optimal solution with degraded performance.
I´m looking for a technical approach how to detect or at least gather some kind of indications to cover this (radio interface statistics on accesspoint/controller/management via CLI/API, compare accesspoint neighborhood information, etc....).
Do you have any ideas and/or already approaches?
Have a nice weekend,
Regards
Benjamin
