VLANs with Aironet 340 Access Points

Hello there,

We have 10 Aironet 340 Access Points and we have been trying to implement wireless vlans. We have set up 2 vlans one with encryption and one without. We can get an IP address from all of them and can ping both the AP and the gateway, but when connected to 6 of the 10 APs we cannot actually surf the net or download email or open a database on a local server. Can anyone tell me if there is a specific limitation on the 340's or why some of them work and some don't? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I haven't personally tried this with AP340s. Are you running VxWorks or IOS? What version, have you tried to upgrade to newer IOS? The older the code the more likely it needs a upgrade to fix a caveat, etc.

The documentation indicates it should work, you just need to troubleshoot the problem.

they are all using VxWorks with version 12.02T1 installed. we have tried upgrading a couple of them, but has had no effect. It's just really weird that some of them work and some don't,
