We have the following at our facility:
- Vocera system
- 2 Cisco Wireless Services Modules (WiSMs)
Problem:
Badge 1 can only make a successful badge-to-badge call with Badge 2 only if both badges are associated to APs running on WiSM A. If Badge 1 remains associated to an AP running on WiSM A, and Badge 2 associated to an AP running on WiSM B, each badge cannot hear any audio. How can we get the badges to work simultaneously on both WiSMs?
Inventory:
Software Version: 4.2.176.0
Model No.: SVC-WiSM
Configuration changes:
- Enabled IP Multicast Routing
- Enabled PIM
- Disabled IGMP
Any help to resolve this issue will be greatly appreciated.

Hello,
A few questions
- Do you have any type of ACL or firewall between the two wisms?
- Are the 2 Wisms in the same cat?
- While on wism a can you ping devices on wism b and the other way around?
- Have you followed Voceras best practices document for a Cisco install?
- Are your contrllers in the same mobility group?
