Voice and Video Call Drops on 1832I-H-K9

Hello everyone,

We are facing a weird problem on our recently procured Cisco AP, model 1832I-H-K9. Voice and video call suddenly drops and reconnects. Rest of the internet works fine. During T-shoot we changed the country from china to bahrain which doesnt support 802.11a/n/ac and its operational status remains down, henceforth forcing the user to use 802.11b/g/n only. After that there is no problem in voice and video call and all connectivity remains smooth.

Kindly guide if anyone can help in fixing this problem. Apparently what i feel is that it keeps on switching between 802.11n and 802.11 ac.

Thanks

Regards

Usman

There are many possible sources for this problem. Some more common ones are:

- bad signal reception

- moving client

- firmware issue on the AP

Can you re-enable the 5 GHz and then run a 'debug client itsmacaddress' and reproduce the problem? That might show why it is happening.
