VSAT dual links

I am working in a project with VSAT communications in boats. I am faced with the issue of providing a single dish on a boat with a link to two different satellites, for back up purposes. I am very coincerned with the delays that may arise when changing satellites and repositioning the dish. Does anybody have any experience in this area?

In cisco products to minimize delay on satellite links for voice set the codec complexity to high, turn off the jitter, adjust the nominal playout-delay to 250 ms.Refer URL for more info
