Hello Guys,
I have a Cisco router 1941W for my little lab that has an AP801 access point built into it.
I want to upgrade the software for my Router and 801AP to a newer version because i got all the time problems with WiFi.....
Here is what it is currently running:
Router#show version
Cisco CISCO1941W-E/K9 (revision 1.0) with 483328K/40960K bytes of memory.
Cisco IOS Software, C1900 Software (C1900-UNIVERSALK9-M), Version 15.4(3)M5, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
ROM: System Bootstrap, Version 15.0(1r)M16, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
ap#show version
cisco AP801AGN-E-K9 (PowerPC 8343) processor (revision C0) with 49142K/16384K bytes of memory.
Cisco IOS Software, AP801 Software (AP801-K9W7-M), Version 15.2(2)JA1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
ROM: Bootstrap program is AP801 boot loader
BOOTLDR: AP801 Boot Loader (AP801-BOOT-M) Version 12.4(10b)JDA3, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
Can you advise me as to how I can find the latest software on the Cisco.com.
Because when i try find on Cisco Download for AP801 i see last version: ap801-k9w7-tar.152-2.JA1.tar but when i find via Cisco 1941W i see newlatest Autonomous AP IOS Software is: ap802-k9w7-tar.152-2.JB5.tar ( but this is AP802 and this i don`t understand... )
And another question i need to upgrade Boot Loader/Bootstrap for Router and AP?
Thanks
TaKeN

ap802-k9w7-tar.152-2.JB5.tar
I don't believe this filename is compatible with an AP801.
And another question i need to upgrade Boot Loader/Bootstrap for Router
If the IOS of the router is going to get upgraded, then it's won't hurt to upgrade the Bootstrap either.

Router ROMmon 15.0(1r)M16 is the latest one, so it's fine.
As for the AP, I'm not certain. If there is more than enough flash space in the AP, what you could try is to un-pack the latest "AP802" version and force the AP to boot the new IOS and leaving the old "AP801" firmware. IF the "AP802" firmware fails to load the AP will load the next available firmware.

I am using C1941W with AP801-K9W7-M:
Cisco IOS Software, AP801 Software (AP801-K9W7-M), Version 15.2(2)JA1, RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)
This is the lastest Autonomous 801 Image. Too old, form January 2013
https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286077844/type/284180979/release/15.2.2-JA1
This is the result with upgrading to AP802 IOS is:
Loading "flash:/ap802-k9w7-mx.153-3.JC5/ap802-k9w7-mx.153-3.JC5"...Bootable image segment 0 address range [0x18003000, 0x1b51e440] not in range [0x3000, 0x2280000].
Error loading "flash:/ap802-k9w7-mx.153-3.JC5/ap802-k9w7-mx.153-3.JC5"
Is is possible to upgrade AP module inside the router?
