Does upgading WCS will affect the controllers or production wireless clients in anyway?
we are currently running on 7.0.164.3 and my plan is to upgrade it 7.0.220.0 then to NCS and then to Prime 1.2
Please let me know if you see any issues in it.
Thanks..

No... These are management tools and are not required. So that being said, you can take WCS down and upgrade without disturbing the wireless.

There shouldn't be any issues or disruption to the wireless network.
You'd want to wait in upgrading to CPI 1.2 because CPI 2.0 is about to be announced.

Thanks both of you for quick responses.
Leo,
We purchased the WCS to PI 1.2 migration last week so I think I don't have an option other than upgrading to PI1.2

That should be fine, then. I do hope your CPI 1.2 is VMware and NOT a hardware.

That's really very good.
Do me a favour, go to the download site. In the search box at the right, enter "cisco prime infrastructure". Look at result.
