Hi,

I would like to ask on what specific frequency does an aironet 350 wireless bridge(802.11b) fall?

This will be used as a requirement on a goverment permit I am processing. I was asked by the Gov't. communication's Dept. on what specific frequency on the 2400-2483.5 Mhz range does aironet 350 fall.

Any inputs on this is highly appreciated.

Regards,

Ursulo,

The data sheet on the Cisco Aironet 350 Series Wireless Bridge (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/wireless/ps458/products_data_sheet09186a008008883c.html) says its frequency band is 2.4 to 2.497 GHz

But the Cisco site on 801.11b channels and identifiers (http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/wireless/airo1200/accsspts/ap120scg/bkscgaxa.htm#1013260) says 802.11b operates on between 2412Mhz and 2484Mhz depending on what channel is in use. Whether or not these channels fall into regulatory domains depends on what channel is in use.

If I were you, I would pick out my region according to this site and fill the Government form with the relevant range of frequencies, depending on whether they are regulated or not. If you are lucky you might find that they are not regulated!

Josef.

PS - rate if it helps ;-)
