I want to change the name and location of AP's that are connected to my 3650 wireless control module. I have found a post that list these commands as:
config ap name
Then you can also add the location value of the ap:
config ap location
However, I have not found where to enter these commands on the switch (do i need to VTY into the AP?).
Switch is a 3650
AP is a 3802

Hi,
Can you do a show wireless ap summary on your switch? You just need to be in in enable mode to change them name, not global config.
Cheers,
Ric

the commands i needed to do in enable mode were:
ap <name> [perameter] (in this case its location)
Example:
ap ap1234.abcd.4321 location RMxxx
