Why one of wlc does not show internal dhcp?

Hi The below picture is two WLC sections. Why the right one does not have dhcp item? Is this a version reason or configuration? Thank you

Newer WLC firmware do not have DHCP Scopes any more.

What Leo is saying is that certain earlier versions of code have dhcp option available and then it was removed. You should not rely on any wlc to do dhcp and it’s probably a good reason why it was a feature that is no longer there.

Hi David,

 

Newer version dont have option for internal DHCP server/DHCP scope. Bets would be configure an external DHCP server (Thats recommended form cisco as well)

The second picture (Right side) should be 5520 WLC

5520 WLC doesn't have Internal DHCP Server feature in it, you can also see this in 5520 product documents.
