Wi Fi mesh preferred parent question

Hi all,

I am trying to configure the preferred parent feature in WLC 5508 version 7.0.116.0, but i don't get the desired results.

My MAP (AP 1522), although it is configured through CLI to prefer a different RAP (with SNR above 20db), it elects an other parent.

Can somebody please explain me how does this feature work?

Sorry it's taken a while to hunt down this answer.  Seems that's the case bc the team said they would need some more information in order to answer your question, or suggested you open a TAC case.

Please do let us know if you have any clarifications to add.  Otherwise, TAC may be your best option
