Hi,
I'm wondering if the 5508 wlan controller can send me notifications of wap up/down conditions? I'm trying to provide a monitoring solution for a client who has the 5508 controller, and I was looking at WCS, but this line of the WCS literature threw me off..
"WCS includes the same configuration, performance monitoring, security, fault management, and accounting options used at the controller level and adds a graphical view of multiple controllers and managed access points."
So, if the WCS does all that the wlan 5508 does, how do I get my 5508 to send me email notices when an AP had fallen off?
Thanks--
Cat

Hi Cat,
I dont think that a wLC acn send notification or alert for Radio UP or down.
The only is WCS or NCS/PI.
