Hi Everybody,
I am trying to get information out of an MSE 7.5 which has a switch with wired clients registered via MSDP.
When I make a make the following call
https://10.1.1.118/api/contextaware/v1/location/clients/count/
I get the following back
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
<DeviceCount deviceType="Wireless_Client" count="0"/>
In the Prime Infrastructure I can see 13 wired clients against the switch which is synced correctly to the MSE.
Is there a way to get wired client information from the API ?
The terms is mentioned in the docs, but I can't see a way to make a call for wired info, or turn it on in clients listing ?
I have not yet put the switch onto a map - would this make a difference ?

I've created a site/building/floor, and added the switch to it. I've noticed something weird which might explain what is happing, but I don't know how to change it...
The report for

shows 12 clients, but...
when I select the map, and 'Show wired device info'/go I get Zero clients
Wired Devices

Wired devices are not displayed on map. |
Any idea what is wrong and how I can fix it ?

Sorted out the difference between the two client list, and the map now shows wired clients, but API call still generates replies only for the quantity zero of wireless clients, and nothing for wired.
Some of the docs for the API refer to wired clients info such as civic address, but I can't see how I can generate an API call to get it out.
Any help would be appreciated.

You cannot get the WIRED device location from the MSE REST API.
You may be able to get what you need from the PI API. HAve you looked at using the PI API to get Civic location of a wired switch port ?
