Wireless AP Cisco 9115 and Internet Connection

Hi Team,

We have experiencing some problems with this APs. Let's see if you can add some light.

We connect the AP to the network with Internet access and connect to the AP through the SSID Provisioned, after that we configure the WLC with static IP and save the changes. Ok, all it's fine here.

The problem comes when we disconnect the AP, and connect again but isolated from internet access, we cannot manage the AP nor ping the interfaces... it's strange.

So the question is, it's mandatory Internet access to this AP? By the way the AP isn't registered yet to the Smart Account.

Any suggestion?

Thank you,

Hello,
No Internet connection is needed for the AP to work. There is most likely a configuration issue on your network, but hard to tell without additional details (L3 schema for example).
As I understand from the labels "Mobility Express" on your post, the AP is running as an EWC controller, isn't it?

Hi,

Well it's easy the schema. Plain switch with one SVI. This SVI it's the GW to the Computer and WLC. Also router with internet.

The EWC get the IP vía DHCP. We define IP statically and save.

Reboot the AP, disconnect the router and the AP isn't pingable ir management vía web.

The switchport is configured in trunk with management IP as Native.

If we connect vía console the IP was here and Up in Port G0/0 but isn't pingable from the same AP (to itself IP).

Thank you,
