Wireless Coverage Recommendation

Amir Yanny

Gents,

We want to install 3 wireless cameras on polls in our parking lot and provide these cameras with wireless from our main building, the furthest camera is 120 meters from the main building.

What is your recommendation for AP and directional or non-directional Antenna products to provide wireless to these cameras?

P.S. the cameras are within clear site from the main building and they are on the same line...

Thoughts?

Thanks,

So it is looks like your camera only operate in 2.4GHz band.

I would investigate & see any 5GHz capable camera is available as that is best suited for this sort of applications.

Anyway here is Cisco outdoor AP product info

If 5GHz is not that important, I would consider getting a1532 AP model

Also I would consider below AP model for this as well

Pls provide technical spec of camera you going to install.

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, the camera runs IEEE802.11b, 802.11g and 802.11n, I am hoping to get 512K stream out of it, no recording is required.

There will be 4 cameras on the three posts.  The first post will have a camera facing the center of the parking lot.  the middle post will have one camera facing back towards the antenna and another facing the far end of the parking lot.  The third post will have one camera facing back towards the center of the parking lot.  All three posts are in a straight line out from the antenna.
