Morning,

We're trying to monitor several behavior in our wireless environment for a further project related to AI

Regarding documentation from 8.2.X release (we're on 8.2.170), there are a lot syslog message that we don't see in our log.

We set the level at debug for identifying and collecting everything.

Example with a warning log :

WLAN-4-STA_ROAM_FAIL: "[STA%s mac=\"%02x:%02x:%02x:%02x:%02x:%02x\"][FROM%s ip=%s bssid=\"%02x:%02x:%02x:%02x:%02x:%02x\"][TO%s ip=%s bssid=\"%02x:%02x:%02x:%02x:%02x:%02x\"][REASON%s code=\"%s\"] Station roaming failed. "

Have you any recommandation ?

Yoann

I think that Syslog and SNMP Traps are not handled the same on the WLC platform. In other words, if there comes an SNMP trap from an AP to the WLC, it will not (always) sent to a syslog server. You can configure SNMP Trap receivers on the WLC, then those traps will be forwarded to your receiver. I think this is needed here.
