Wireless monitor options

I've got 1200+ APs (2802i) across several sites, connected to a 5520 WLC. I need to find a way to monitor these APs and generate text alerts when either the AP goes down, or the radio interfaces go down. What's the best tool to do that? In addition to the controller, we've got a Cisco Prime Infrastructure 3.1 server and Solarwinds Orion NPM and SAM (latest versions).

PI can generate notifications when an AP get disconnected from the controller.

To expand what Leo said,

You can go to PI "Administration > Settings > System Settings > Alarm and Events > Notification Policies" & create new policy to notify you via email when those specific event triggered. See below
