Wireless Network with WS-C3650 and branch Switches

Hi Gentlemen,

I have a setup with 3 Cisco WS-C3650 and Leightweight Access Points connected to them.

I need to install an additional Access Point but into this room runs only one cable.

Connected to this cable are two workstations with a small SG300 Switch.

Is it possible to connect the access Point to this switch an let it register to the WLC?

At the moment the access point only registers on the Controller but won't send any signal an is marked as up.

Regards

You have to directly connect AP to 3650/3850 on "access port" in order to register AP onto IOX-XE switch integrated WLC.

So there is no other way to connect the AP inderectly through an SG300 Switch?

No. Indirect AP is not supported.

Okay, thank you for your help.

So only an smaller 3650 switch witrh mobility agent would be possible.
