Hello,

I want to be able to authenticate wireless users through SMS tokens. Based on my research, the only way to achieve this is using ISE.

Is there any other way of achieving what i want without using ISE?

I'm Guessing your talking about authenticating guest users via SMS tokens. Few ways you can achieve this:

ISE Portals as you said

DNA Spaces Portals

Third Party Captive portal software

Some Third party RADIUS servers have ability to do this.

There even a guest open roaming on boarder that uses SMS to verify the users SMS details before enrolling them in the open roaming certificate

If your talking about corporate users then I don't know of any 2 factor wireless authentication methods, I would suggest EAP-TLS, or EAP-TEAP

The solution is for guest user authentication.

If i use an external captive portal, how will authentication work? I know Cisco WLC support 3 authentication options: Local, Radius & LDAP, does this mean the WLC will need access to my database?
