Hi All,

Good day!

I would like to ask for your expertise regarding peer2peer blocking. We are currently running version 8.0.140.0 on 5508 WLC. peer2peer blocking is enabled on WLAN but wireless client on the same WLAN can still ping each other. Would like to know if there is resolution for this. Thank you.

HI,

It should be set to DROP .

Info: The Peer-to-Peer Blocking feature blocks communication between two clients on the same WLC (option drop) on a WLAN.

Hi Sandeep,

APs are in local mode.

Is this across multiple WLCs ?This feature works for clients on same WLC!!

Didn't this always work, if the network gateway is going to route the packets. Are the clients in the same layer2 network?

Hi Sandeep,

clients are on the same WLC.

Thank you.

If you have only one WLC, AP connected it with local mode , Clients are in layer 2 network and P2P is set to drop then it must work.

Open a TAC case!!!
