I need to disable the network to make some changes to wireless networks. I get an error message that it is operational and cannot make chantes. I have some meshes enabled. Would the mesh come back if i connect to WLC and disable the network, make changes, then enable it?

Hi,

Some changes require you to disable the radios before applying the change. You will need to take an outage windows, disable the radios, make the change and re-enable the radios. This should only impact the wireless network. You will still have access to the wireless controller over the wired network.

Thanks

John

Thanks for the reply. I understand scheduling downtime and accessing the WLC from the wire. But how does the mesh come back online if WLC disables the network?
WLC > WAP1(RAP) > WAP2(MAP)
How does WAP2 receive the enable command after WLC tells them to turn off?

Does anyone have a mesh system to test?
