WLC 2504 HA Without N+1

Dear all,

We plan to install on the same site these devices :

- AIR-CT2504-50-K9 – as primary controller

- AIR-CT2504-HA-K9 – as backup controller

- Software version 7.6.130

I didn't find documentation on how to make the HA between the devices.
The two devices will be on the same site and they will be NOT in the N+1 configuration.

As there is no redundancy port on the 2504, is it need a physical link between the two devices ?

Thank you in advance,

Best regards,

Vince.

Hi Vince,

It same configuration as N+1. There is not much difference except one command.

As there is no redundancy port on the 2504, is it need a physical link between the two devices ?

There is no need to connect both WLC physically (even there is no option to connect.)

Use my post for Conifg guide:

*** Don't use this command on secondary WLC( If you dont want to do N+1)

(WLC2) >config redundancy unit secondary
