Hi all,
I connect TP-Link extender AC1750 to WLC 3504 network but the client doesn't get internet connection. The extender's configuration is simple (connect to host SSID and broadcast ext SSID). It's network map is shown as internet connected. The client get DHCP IP from extender but cannot be reachable to host gateway and internet. (If I turned off the extender's DHCP option, the client didn't get the IP address). The client's didn't get DHCP directly from WLC.
Please help and suggest me what I need to configure at WLC or miss something.
Thanks and regards

- It's not meaningful to let the client have an ip address from the extender , because the adres will be incompatible with the scheme for the wlan subnet on the controller and it's dhcp server ; unless the tp-link can do some sort of NAT or relaying. Check related settings in the GUI of the extender for instance,

I believe it will be required to turn your TP-link into a bridge. The WLC needs to manage the client connection in order to give DHCP.
The TP-Link must be just a pass-through for the client to associante and authenticate on the Cisco Access Point and then get managed by the WLC.

Thanks for your suggesstions. I try to change AP mode to bridge and mesh mode on extender. But clients still cannot get DHCP from WLC. Is it the right solution or other config needs at WLC?
Thanks and regards,
