WLC 5500 Series

I would like to add access points on my 5500 series controller, but the equipment is end of life. is it possible to get a new license for my new access points or do i have to buy a new controller.

Current equipment (5500 Series) includes 46 cisco access points.

NO! The licenses ae for the APs

Yes for APs but integrated at the WLC level, because APs have default licenses but these licenses are not used for management from the WLC.

There is no such thing as "default licenses" for APs.
It is mandatory to BUY a DNA license for every single AP on a 9800 WLC.
