WLC 9800 - Access Points with no Full PoE

Hi,

I need an overview from all the access points and the assigned PoE (Power Status).
Due to sometimes bad cabling an AP is running on Medium PoE, but there is no warning (except flashing color leds).

I have tried it with: show ap config general | include AP.Name|Power.Type/Mode

But that won't filter out the Medium PoE (it's creates a big list with all the AP's).

Also within the Gui, I can only find the Power status on each AP seperatly.

Anyone has any better idea?

Thnx.

  - You may try :
show ap name <ap name> lan port summary

Yet I doubt if the controller is the right place to query  a part of the AP  network connection  , perhaps better look at the POE-statuses from the switch (switching) point of view  (and or querying through snmp for example).

Hi,

Thnx, but that would mean I would have to check per AP or per switch, and it would not generate a full overview.

@bram.a    - You need to consider that you won't  get  it done on the controller ,

Two things I afraid suggest about it

1- admin

2- PoE

But I will try help you here'

In cisco SW for max power we need lldp and 4 wiring pairs.

Check this point in your SW

Again friend be worried anything wrong can damage your SW port
