WLC GUI not accessible after CSR generation and reboot.

Hi,

We've generated CSR on our 5520 (8.3.112) for wildcard certificate. We had a power interruption and after the reboot GUI is no longer accessible. According to the document that's how it is supposed to be.

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/wireless/4400-series-wireless-lan-controllers/109597-csr-chained-certificates-wlc-00.html#anc9

Now I've seen a bug with bug ID CSCvc10206, with a workaround of executing the following commands:

config certificate generate webadmin
config certificate generate webauth

So my question is, how will these commands affect the signed certificate that I will upload to the controller as these commands will generate new web certs? Will the WLC still accept the signed cert to be uploaded?

Thanks,

Well, you can always generate new certificates at any moment, it replaces the existing one. That's also the case with the signed one. You can always upload the signed one, which will replace the self-generated cert. See for instructions:
