WLC switchover in HA pair

Hi,

I Have WLC model 5508 in HA pair. I have to shift the primary unit to become secondary and the secondary unit to become primary. This needs to be performed without a reboot. How can be done?

Hi,

As @Leo Laohoo mentioned, you have to use the command ----Redundancy force switchover 

Issue the redundancy force-switchover command on the Active WLC. This command will trigger a manual switchover where the Active WLC will reboot and the Standby WLC will take over the network. In this case, the client on the Active WLC will be de-authenticated and join back on the new Active WLC.
