WLC switchover

Hello,

If the trunk link of active WLC goes down, the swtchover will be triggered automatically?

What kind of mechanism is it used to detect it? is there something like link monitor? is there any way to implement it?

 - Normally not , the switchover is triggered by lack of 'pings' on the redundancy interface(s) , it will not be triggered by faults on (other) network interfaces ,

In HA SSO, if the uplink to the Active controller goes down, an switchover occurs.

You haven't specified the model of WLC or software version but let's assume you're talking about 9800 running a recent extended release like 17.9 then HA-SSO RMI+RP with gateway reachability monitoring is what you should be looking at:
