WLC update

Hello,

our company has bought 4 APs AIR-AP2802I-E-K9 and 4 smart licenses CON-SNT-ARAPIEK9.
We need to attach these APs to our WLC 2504. Is it possible? In download page we have no option to download LWAPP firmware for AIR-AP2802I-E-K9.
How can we download this? And also we need to update our WLC software. How can we download the software for WLC?

Verify AP , controller-model  and software compatibilities by using these info'shttps://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html

                             >...no option to download LWAPP firmware

It can be found here , (but if the access points are already using lightweight image then you do not have to do anything, the access point will sync/get the image from the controller)  https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286304510/type/286288051/release/15.3.3-JPN

FYI : https://software.cisco.com/download/home/283848165/type/280926587/release/8.5.171.0  , also read https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/controller/release/notes/crn85mr7.html , for upgrading and installation instructions.

first make sure software versions are compatible as @Mark Elsen mentioned. after that it should work. if your AP have autonomous OS, then you need to reformat that to lwapp OS. if not its not an issue. also your WLC needs to have license for 4 more APs.

Please rate this and mark as solution/answer, if this resolved your issue
Good luck

Note that part number is NOT a smart license - it's Smartnet Total Care contract for AIR2800 Series Products.  That provides hardware support for the APs - but not licenses.  As @Kasun Bandara said you need to ensure your WLC has enough AP licenses for those APs.  If you need to order more: L-LIC-CT2504-UPG Upgrade Options for 2504 WLAN Controller (e-Delivery) + L-LIC-CT2504-1A 1 AP Adder License for 2504 WLAN Controller (e-Delivery)
