WLSE 1105 platform

Will there be future enhancements to the features of the 1105 platform, or will enhancements only come in the 1130 product? Will features such as intrusion dection or unknown client device location be added?

No. 1105 can only run upto 2.7.1 version. Any versions beyond 2.7.1 including the latest 2.9 do not support 1105 and will not install on it. All new features only on 1130 platform.

You may want to take this information to your cisco account team as it contradicts Cisco's EOS announcement for the 1105 found here:

This specifically states that Cisco will provide software support for the 1105 until July 2006. So if 2.9 isn't supported on the 1105 they should still provide software updates/patches until 07/2006.
