ASR 9001 as L2 Switch while running nV Edge

I will be using two ASR 9001 as L2 switch.

Can I still configure them in nV cluster while functioning as L2 switch?

Will there be any performance, redundancy,  configuration restriction issues?

yes, although our recommendation would be to deploy MC-LAG or Pseudo MC-LAG instead.
