After the upgrade i am getting this below alarm
RP/0/RSP0/CPU0:Jul 22 00:42:54.442 : licmgr[317]: %LICENSE-LICMGR-4-PACKAGE_LICENSE_INVALID : Package requesting A9K-LI-LIC license is activated on Rack0 and node node0_RSP0_CPU0 without a valid license/ valid configuration
Which is understand able as the device don't have have valid LI license .
My questions :-
1) The device didn't had valid LI license for version 5.1.3 but there were no alarms related to LI.Why are the alarms there for 5.3.3
2) Is there any way to deactivate this particular alarm without deactivating the LI-PIE file
Thanks
Bilal

hi Bilal,
if you don't have the LI license, why would you keep the LI pie on the router? Do the LI errors persist after LI pie deactivation?

/Aleksandar

hi Bilal,
the most recent document is "Smart Licensing on the ASR9000 Platform". The concept of syslog notification is the same in the traditional and smart licensing.

Hi,
you can always use the "test" command at the end.
e.g. install deactivate disk0:asr9k-li-px-5.3.4 test
The router will tell you what will happen but it will not do any changes due to the test command.

Hi Bro,
I have this problem too, the A9K suddenly start to alarm this one when some configuration changed. I am trying to figure out which configuration change may be connected to this one. My A9K version is 5.2.4

I deactivated it ....The Alarm disappeared but wanted to know any documentation available for 5.3.3 which explains the unlicensed pie file will generate a log entry or alarm in that case....

Hi Aleksandar
Does deactivating LI pakcage need a restart to the router .We did it for one router and it worked but as we were upgrading it ...it took a restart itself ..if i do it for the already upgraded router ..Will it need a reset
