Hello deal ASR9000 Gods,
Since i can't find any detailed information regarding the novel ASR9001, i drop some here:
I can see on the Cisco Configuration Tool the existence of a license for up to 8 L3VPN VRFs -A9K-IVRF-LIC - is it possible to have more than 8 L3VPN VRFs on the ASR9001 ?
What are the queue depth in MB for the GbE and 10GbE interfaces ?
What are the maximum VPNv4 prefixes as a RR ?
What are the maximum IPv4 prefixes as a RR ?
Does the ASR9001 support the same features has it's bigger ASR9000 cousins (except of course the LC and related LC features) ?
Thanks !
David

Hi David,
1. There should be A9K-9001-AIP-LIC licence.
2. Buffer size per 10G port ~ 339msec per port.
3. RR has been tested with 7.5M BGP routes (With BGP path to route ratio of 1).
4. It supports 4M IPv4 prefixes or 2M IPv6 prefixes. Total x + 2y < 4M -- "x" is IPv4 prefixes and "y" is ipv6.
5. ASR9001 RSP horse-power is close to RSP440 and Line cards are available in –SE version. Now it supports most of the features as ASR9000. From 4.3 release onwards, it is planed to have the same features supported as in ASR9000.

Hi David,
sorry, this is all I have regaring QoS for now
=====================================
Ingres queuing is not supported on ASR9001. (support ingress policing, marking and fabric priority)
Per-NP scale
==================
256K queues per port.
256K policer.
Minimal queue/police bandwidth - 8Kbps
Buffer size per 10G port - ~ 339msec per port

You may open a service request with TAC indicating the ticket is for me so we can work it out furhter with our dev team.

Many thanks Alexei !
Two more questions regarding this work horse:
Does it support Satellite equipments ?
Does it support Nv Edge ?

Satellite and Cluster support is planned for 4.3.0.

HI alexei,
Could you please provide a datasheet or something like that , where is stated your answer in No.2 question?
i am also interested in the buffer size (msec) per 1G port....
Thank you

Sorry, i don’t have any external data sheets for this.

Thanks Alexei,
Can you please indicate this information for the ASR9001?
For both GbE and 10 GbE interfaces:
QoS Queues
QoS Ingress Shapers
QoS Egress Shapers
QoS Buffer Size for the GbE interface
