ASR9K filter air replace

Hello,

we have 2x ASR9006 in a production enviroment. We want to replace the air filter. We have studied the process in this document and video:

This document says: "For the Cisco ASR 9006 Router and Cisco ASR 9904 Router, loosen the thumb screw that secures the filter to the chassis, and then slide the air filter out of the chassis".

It should be very simple but when we try to slide the air filter it seems to be stuck or fixed but something. Our chassis are V1.

Has anyone had the same problem? Are there any other screws to remove?

Thanks in advanced.

Regards

I am having the same problem with two ASR 9006 where the air filter appears completely stuck. On the other hand it was really easy to slide out the air filter from another ASR 9006. I suspect that the air filter may be so dirty that air flow is impeded so much that the internal fans act like a vacuum cleaner, sucking the filter tight to the chassis. Shutting down the ASR 9006, i.e. making the fans stop, will possibly resolve the problem. Unfortunately I haven't had the opportunity yet to verify this myself.
