ASR9K licensing and MLC insertion

I plan to insert a new MLC/MPA in our 9K, is there any additional action to do about licensing ?

Hi,

if it's only MPA, then no. You don't need any licenses as far I know.
In case of new line card (e.g. MOD80, MOD160 or similar) you have multiple option. In most cases you need a license for VRF (8 VRF or 4K VRF's).

I have already a parmenant License installed A9K-MOD80-AIP-TR because I have an MLC A9K-MOD80-TR installed. I will add a new MLC A9K-MOD80-TR on an empty slot. So, should do an addional task about licensing ?

Since the VRF licenses are slot based, you have to acquire a new one for new MLC A9K-MOD80-TR.
